Kennel Argenta's second Q-litter

Ch Argenta's Octavia and Ch Felice di Stevens
met for a love-vacation in Denmark in June.

The result = Kennel Argenta's 2nd S-litter!

Our sweet Chili, Ch Argenta's Octavia, gave birth to 7 puppies.
2 males and 5 females.

One week old!

Argenta's Fröken Smilla and her brothers and sisters!

"Miss Red" is very keen on food.

"Miss Violet" and her siblings.

"Miss Yellow" is sleeping.

2 weeks old!

The puppies are now almost 2 weeks old!

2,5 weeks old!

The puppies are starting to play with each other!
Well, some of them!

Others are discussing the most important thing in the world -
"Where is our mother?"

All the puppies are very content with life!

"Miss Pink" 2,5 weeks old!

3,5 weeks old!

Outside for the first time!
What a thrill! What a joy! What a wonder...

Who will be the new Neil Armstrong?
Here, it's not the question of taking a step for mankind on the moon
but putting down the first paw OUTSIDE!!

When mama comes to gather her small herd of puppies, the competition is forgotten!
Now it's more a question to get some food!

We would like to present to you the members of Kennel Argenta's 2nd S-litter.

The two males:

Mr Blue

Mr Orange

The 5 females:

Miss Lavendel

Miss Green

Miss Pink

Miss Red

Miss Yellow

The puppies will of course get proper Argenta-names in due time...

Do you know how tired a puppy gets, being outside for the first time?

Mr Orange sleeping and I think dreaming of sunshine, birdsong, leaves
and - just being outside...

4,5 weeks old!

Our puppies are now fully accustomed beeing outside.

And they, like other farm-animals, are getting used to have the foodtruck driven in to their pasture. But in their case, the food-truck is a very warm and loving one...

"Chili" is very fond of and sweet to her puppies. And she has a lot of milk...

Mr Blue on guard!

During their exploration of the Niklasson Garden, they sometimes discover astonishing things!
These two just turned a corner and... Wow! A strange schnauzer!

Delta (Delta de Barbaria) just ignores them!
"-These stupid puppies and their stupid games..."

Even if their mummy is the best thing on earth -
when growing up, the puppies need more than just milk. And real food are very tasty!

Like a responsible mother, Chili takes care of the dishes...

5,5 weeks old!

Mr Blue

Mr Orange

Miss Red

Miss Lavender

Miss Green

Miss Pink

Miss Yellow

7,5 weeks old!

At this age, we often let our puppies undergo a mentality test.
They are performed by Ingrid Tapper. She is very experienced in testing dogs in all breeds and ages. From mentality test for puppies to "korning". She has also written books about dog's ethology and mentality.
These tests helps us to judge which puppy will be best suited for the puppy buyers.
To evaluate the mentality of every litter is also very useful in planning our future breeding.

Ingrid and Miss Green are getting acquainted with each other.
This is actually the first test -
how does the puppy react in meeting a new, unknown person?

(All our puppies were thrilled to meet this nice stranger! And to get the opportunity to be with her all by themselves while their siblings had to stay in the puppyroom! What a joy!)

Next test is made to find out how big fighting spirit the puppies got.

(Miss Green found this new toy very funny,
especially when someone tried to take it away from her! What a fun game!)

Next, Miss Green got new unknown objects on the floor.
Will she notice and approach them? If so, which will she choose? What will she do with it? Play with it, carry it around or just examine it?

All these things will tell Ingrid the puppy's future abilities. Does she have the curiosity and willingness to work to become a good obedience dog? Does she have the strength in mentality to live in an active family with a lot of children? Or is she best suited for a elderly couple who enjoys a comfortable and more isolated life?

There was a lot of new things spread out on the floor.

Miss Green enjoyed the task!
To examine each object very carefully, in all kind of ways...

She choose the ball...
No wonder when she is bred in a house with children playing
both football, handball, golf and bandy!

8 weeks old!

The puppies are leaving us!

Argenta's Smilla!
Before she left us, she and her new family gave us each a book
by the Danish author Peter Hoeg. The title of the book is Smilla's Sense of Snow!

Can you guess how they came up with Smillas name?

Argenta's Sterling,
former Mr Blue, has left us to live with his new family
.

Argenta's Sabrina

Argenta's Seraphina

Argenta's Shinade,
former Miss Green.

One of the first to move out was Argenta's Schindler,
the former Mr Orange.

We are certain that Schindler will love his new family!
Especially Malin, his new playmate!

10 weeks old!

Argenta's Sigrid Svensk
has left Sweden to live with her new family in USA.

"Siri" and Alexandra on the airplane to Washington, USA.

"Siri" in her bag on the floor.

We are very grateful to the SAS stewardess who
made it possible for us to have Siri in the cabin with us.

"Siri" is now living with her new sister "Flicka",
Argenta's Norah Nordica,
with Linda and Bob Dobbie, Kennel Centara, USA.
