World Winner Dog Show
29 May – 1 June 2003

We travelled 1 500 kilometers
from Stockholm, Sweden to Dortmund, Germany
to show our dogs!

We were two pairs of sisters,
Boel and Gunilla together with
their mother Birgitta and her sister Martha
travelling together.

We brought 4 dogs:
Ch Argenta's Jezebel who was entered in champion class bitches,
Argenta's O'Connor to compete in open class males,
his sister Argenta's Octavia in open class bitches and
Argenta's Phoebe was entered in junior class bitches.

We were of course a bit tense going to a show
with more than 100 beautiful schnauzers entered!

Martha, Birgitta and Gunilla in Lubeck

We started our journey early thursday morning
and drove through Sweden and Denmark and
stayed for the night in Lubeck in Germany.

We continued our trip to Dortmund the next day.
We had of course some breaks during the day and on one of them,
we used the lay-by to make the last preparations for the show.

Some of the truck-drivers looked a bit confused... :-)

Jezzie's turn to be groomed.

On the day of the show, we were a bit busy
with only two handlers and four dogs to be shown,
almost at the same time, in three different rings!

Ch Argenta's Jezebel on the World Winner Show in Dortmund 2003 Jezzie, Ch Argenta's Jezebel was the first of our dogs to enter the ring.

She became Vorzuglich 2 and won
the VDH CAC and the Reserve PSK CAC!

World Winner 03, Ch Leeloo Lollipop v. Achterplätzchen and her halfsister Ch Argenta's Jezebel
She was placed on 2nd place after her halfsister,
Ch Leeloo Lollipop v. Achterplaetzchen
(Ch Argenta's Dutchman - Highlight Goldie v. Achterplaetzchen)
(Leeloo is also Ch Argenta's Griffith's granddaughter, on her mother's side.)

We love to congratulate Edith and Steffi Schön, kennel v. Achterplaetzchen,
for the prestigious titel "World Winner 2003"!

At the same time, the champion males were shown in another ring.

Ch Argenta's Löjtnant Loke
was shown by his owner Waldemar Domagalski, kennel Punta Arenas, Poland.

"Loke" got the prize vorzuglich but wasn't placed among the five best championmales.

Ch Argenta's Yeoman Yankee was shown by his owner Kirsi Kentala, kennel Doctor's Order, Finland.

"Renny" got the prize vorzuglich but wasn't placed among the five best championmales.

Next, it was Argenta's O'Connor's turn to enter the ring.
And he wasn't alone, there were 15 open class males!

To our great joy, "Viper" became Vorzuglich 1 and won
the PSK CAC and the VDH CAC!

On 2nd place came one of his relatives;
Melico v Achterplaetzchen,
Ch Argenta's Griffth's grandson.

Boel and Viper after the show!
He is such a charmer, our Viper!

At the same time, Argenta's Phoebe entered her ring.
She also had a big competition with 20 bitches in junior class.

Phoebe became Reserve Junior World Winner!
Fantastic!

Argenta's Octavia,
normally just called Chili, was the last one of our dogs to enter the ring.

And in her class, open class bitches, she became Vorzuglich 2, i. e. 2nd best out of 18!

As Vorzuglich 4, there was yet another Argenta-relative:
Doctor's Order's Demicillin
(Ch Argenta's Yeomann Yankee - Sealady's Untouched Pearl)

We would like to introduce a sweet little relative;
Fiona Punta Arenas
(Ch Argenta's Löjtnant Loke - Panna Manna Mania Z Jamna)
who became World Winner Puppy 2003!

Fiona is shown by her charming owner and breeder,
Dolores Majchrzak-Domalgaska, kennel Punta Arenas, Poland.

What a show!
More than 100 schnauzers pepper and salt competed in nine different classes
and our four dogs were entered in four different ones.
And here are, once again, their results:

Ch Argenta's Jezebel
was 2nd best in champion class bitches
and won the VDH CAC and the Reserve PSK CAC!

Argenta's O'Connor was Best in open class males and he also
won the PSK CAC and the VDH CAC!

Argenta's Octavia was 2nd best in open class bitches and
won the Reserve PSK CAC and the Reserve VDH CAC!

Argenta's Phoebe became Reserve Junior World Winner!

We would like to congratulate some more Argenta-relatives:

Best of Breed and World Winner 2003
Ch Rabjergs Sir N. Deminsy-Porpington
(His mother is Ch Wellfith's Cruella de Ville, daughter of Ch Argenta's Lawinia)

Winner in Honour Class, males:
Ch Dan-Esch Black Thorne
(Ch Rabjergs Knockout - Ch Argenta's Nana Ninotschka)

We would also like to congratulate
Casso's Jalabert,
Ch Argenta's Yetta-Yelena's grandson,
who became Vorzuglich 3 in Champion Class, males.

What a day!

As you might have guessed, we were totally worn out after show
and took therefore a welldeserved break on the way back to our hotell.

Boel, Gunilla and Birgitta = kennel Argenta

And here is another picture of the same dogs on the same wall
but together with a different pair of sisters!

The sisters Martha and Birgitta.

Octavia, O'Connor, Jezebel and Phoebe
The same dogs on the same wall - but this time all alone!
Aren't they cute?

When we came to the hotel, Phoebe saw two ugly, longhaired schnauzers.
She isn't such a very experienced traveller and didn't recognize Afgan Hounds...
We took the opportunity to take a photo of her!

Later in the evening we met
Veronica Lange, kennel Velvet Dandys, and her daughter Inez and puppy-owners,
for dinner on a nearby restaurant.

It's always wonderful for us from Sweden to be able to bring our dogs
into a restaurant. It's not allowed in the Nordic countries.
And here we were together with seven well-behaved schnauzers!

The next morning, we packed the car full with dogs, bags and winebottles
and headed back home to Sweden again.
